IT ALERT: Samsung Galaxy Updates needed after 100 million phones affected by flawed hardware encryption feature

Security Alert - Samsung Galaxy Update
Samsung Galaxy Updates needed after 100 million phones affected by flawed hardware encryption feature: According to researchers, there is a flawed hardware encryption feature uncovered in Samsung’s implementation that could be a doorway for anyone with root privileges to gain access to the hardware-protected private keys from the secure element.  These flaws are located in the Keystore in Samsung Galaxy S8, S9, S10, S20 and S21 devices.  If you have one of these devices, you will need a Samsung Galaxy update as soon as possible. Android phones have a hardware-backed Keystore that enables the creation and storage of crypto keys within the Trusted Execution Environment (TEE), that provides a secure, isolated environment for Trusted Applications (TAs) to execute security-critical tasks.  The Keystore makes the crypto keys more difficult to be extracted since it prevents access from the underlying operating system. What You Can Do

Update your Samsung phone as soon as possible. Samsung Galaxy Updates can be found here:

On your Samsung device, go to Settings > Software Update > Download and Install. (How to)
